Set deep in the heart of the Serengeti, this semi-permanent tented camp was designed to merge seamlessly with its natural surroundings while offering a bold and luxurious design narrative. Elevated on wooden decks to tread lightly on the land, the camp balances ecological sensitivity with striking aesthetic flair.

I led the interior design from concept to completion, working exclusively with locally sourced materials and Tanzanian artisans—known as fundis—to create a truly authentic and bespoke experience. From hand-blown glass elements and intricately carved timber details to woven textures and sculptural furniture, every piece was crafted in collaboration with skilled local weavers, carvers, and woodworkers. The result is an eclectic, layered interior that feels both grounded in place and unmistakably refined.

This project was not only a design endeavor but also a fully immersive production. I co-managed the build alongside Wilderness, ensuring that the creative vision was executed with precision and respect for the environment and community.

This camp represents the kind of work I’m most passionate about—design that tells a story, honors place, and connects people to their surroundings in a meaningful, beautiful way.
